Respectful Artisans Will Update Your Floors With Raw Or Prefinished Hardwood, Cork Or Bamboo To Restore Your Pride In Your Home!

Hi! My name is Kevin Kennedy of KBS Customs. I know you've put so much into obtaining your home so you deserve to fully enjoy it and take pride in it while you live there. Many people live in their home for years, maybe even decades, and put up with ugly, worn-out or just outdated floors only to remodel just when it's time to sell for the increased value it brings.

While I certainly understand this it seems like such a shame to wait until you're leaving your home to remodel it rather than enjoying, what is probably the most expensive possession you'll ever have, your home, while you live there!

This is where hardwood shows it's beauty in two ways. Beyond it's unique natural beauty the other 'beauty' of hardwood, both raw and prefinished, is that it almost never wears out. Let me explain.

Granted, with raw hardwood you may have to refinish it from time to time or before you sell. But that is still much better than putting up with floors you hate for the duration of the time you live in your home!

Prefinished hardwood is so durable that manufacturers guarantee it for 10, 25 and some even 50 years!

This means you can update your floors now so you can enjoy your home more while you live there and they'll still be in good condition when it comes time to sell.

Life is short. How much would the natural beauty of hardwood installed throughout your home add to how you feel about living in your home? What would new hardwood floors in your entranceway, living room, dining room, kitchen and/or bedrooms do for your psyche?

It just doesn't make sense day after day and year after year to put up with that annoying feeling of having old, tired, worn-out or just our of date flooring eating at you any more. Or that feeling that your home doesn't seem like your because it was decorated by someone else and suits their taste not yours.

It's hard to bite the bullet and go ahead to start remodeling. It will mean some inconvenience and it takes some money but if you're going to do it anyway the sooner the better because only then do you really fully enjoy your home.

Why would you live in your home for years, possibly even hating how it looks, just to fix it up to sell it? I can't grasp it, you might as well enjoy it while you're in it. It's insane not to!

Give us a call or fill out the form at the top of this page, and we’ll start you on the road right away to get the unique beauty that comes only from hard wood flooring so you can more fully enjoy your home with a minimum of inconvenience.

Hardwood Installation Made As Painless As Is Humanly Possible!

If you notice above, I said with a minimum of inconvenience. That's because no one can make installing new hardwood completely aggravation free. By truly respecting your home, family and schedule we can minimize the inconvenience and mess to a large degree.

Showing up on time, being courteous, cleaning up on a daily basis,  realistically estimating time frames and then meeting them, not starting and working on another job while yours isn't finished and at the end of the job cleaning up again all are vital pieces to the puzzle to make it go as smoothly and as painlessly as possible. The right size team of hardwood installers can transform your home promptly and in the most efficiently way possible. Not enough workers drags it out and too many just get in each others and your way.

Communication is the key to minimizing delays, avoiding errors,  needless redos and understanding your concerns and goals. I can honestly say in many cases I become friends with my clients and we keep in touch after the work is done! Please give me a call or fill out the form above and we can talk. If you want to go further I'll come meet you, look at what needs to be done and get you a quote (rates are reasonable) quickly.

If you're comfortable after that we can schedule the work and I personally will make sure everything that is written here actually comes to pass. Again, I'm not promising perfection, only respect, courtesy, honesty, cleanliness and communication but with that the rest comes pretty naturally. Soon you'll have the beautiful new floors and stairs your heart desires with a minimum of muss and fuss and you'll be glad you did! To top it all off, it's all guaranteed for 6 full years!

You might wonder why we do that and no one else does. It's simple. Outside of an earthquake, hurricane or some other disaster (in which case insurance covers it) a new hardwood installation, using the right materials and methods will not cause you (or us) any problems So there is no risk in guaranteeing it.

Actually, if within 6 years something goes wrong it's our fault any way and conscientiously we would fix it so really in giving you a 6-year guarantee I'm just telling you upfront what I honestly want to do and am obligated morally to do anyway. I know that's hard to believable today but let's talk and meet and you'll see I mean it. Beyond that, this policy will no doubt keep you as a customer as long as you live in the area and motivate you to refer others to us too.

Make The Process Go A Little Smoother

First we’ll set a time with you to look at the full scope of the installation you need. If you want we can make suggestions and help you create a layout and design with the wood you've chosen. If you already know how you want it we'll go ahead that way. If you are working with an architect or designer, we can consult with them directly to get plans or blueprints.

We know many of  the leading showrooms in the area and can steer you to the ones that will have more of what you’re looking for. Today you have more choices than ever before in hardwood varieties.

On our initial estimate, we can measure so you know how much wood to order. This is vital to the projects success because there is nothing like running out of wood in the middle of an installation to  delay a project. At certain showrooms if you order through us we can get you a discount. It goes without saying that we pick up the wood and deliver it for you.

All hardwood quotes will be delivered in writing and, if you want, conveniently and quickly emailed to you so you don’t have to wait long for pricing and answers.

During the installation process you will be pleasantly surprised to see complete respect for your home and family demonstrated. All surfaces to be walked on will be covered with drop cloths. The work site will be left clean at the end of each day and at the end of your project.

This is an area where so many companies fail! It's unbelievable to me that while working hard to beautify one area of your home many construction workers will, almost callously, destroy another part in the process.

You can count on good communication so the details are done to your specifications not as 'we think' they should be. Many steps need your input, and that way, although we do the work the finished product will still be your job!

What If A Handyman, Brother In Law Or Chain Store Installer Has A Better Price?

While a low price is always tempting it's important to keep in mind that hardwood installation is part building science and part art. It takes time to learn good solid techniques and time to develop the skill so the finished product comes out beautiful. When someone spends most of their days on demolition, plumbing or other 'handyman' work, anything else but wood work, how skilled can they be when it’s time to install hardwood? Hardwood installation is not like cleaning and maybe painting; it's a craft that should be performed by specialists. This is the reason so many jobs installed by handymen and chain store installers, shall we say, just don't cut it.

Our hardwood installers are specialists, and it shows. Handymen often work on apartments and rental properties, and the level of their work may be OK in that setting. They can honestly say they have experience… but….. we consistently work for the best in the field; high end remodelers and demanding homeowners that don’t put up with second rate work. When you hire us you will get true artisans - skilled in hardwood installation. We encourage you to speak to our clients as the quality is second to none!

We routinely get calls from people who have had bargain basement hardwood installers commit their crimes against peoples floors. Usually they ask: “Can you fix this”? And unfortunately, the answer is almost always ‘no, we can’t. If the first line of wood is installed crooked, all the other lines will be crooked as well.’ And you can’t take out.

If this is the type of workmanship you want for your hardwood installation give us a call or fill out the form above now and we'll start you on the road to updating your home in a way that fits your taste soon.
